ORANGE COUNTY POLICE CANINE ASSOCIATION ocpca.org
The Orange County Police Canine Association hosted their 20th annual Police K9 benefit on Saturday, October 6, 2007. Orange County K9 was a proud sponsor of 4 Police K9's retiring after years of public service.
Orange County K9 donated our Universal Pet Comfort Sleeperâ„¢ memory foam pet beds to the following Police officers:
- Pat Estes Fountain Valley PD with retired K-9 Roy
- Todd Schmaltz Orange County Sheriff with retired K-9 Max
- Gregg Yerington Newport Beach PD with retired K-9 Hanz
- Jerry Abrahams Huntington Beach PD with retired K-9 Sheky
Orange County K9â„¢ also sponsored the 2007 TOUGHEST POLICE K9 contest by sponsoring the Orange County Sheriff Police K9 unit Officer Kevin La Pyrne and K-9 KAI. OCK9 was honored to be in the presence of so many police officers and their K9 heros that put their lives on the line daily enforcing the laws of the State of California.
The highlight of the evening was the distinct pleasure we had to meet the President of the Orange County Police K9 Association, Santa Ana Police officer, Mike McCarthy and Costa Mesa Police K9 officer Damian Stafford. OCK9 was able to learn more about this wonderful police K9 association and their mission to provide medical care for retired police dogs that serve in Orange County, provide training for Police K9 teams, provide assistance to the families of fallen or injured police officers while providing financial assistance to Orange County law enforcement agencies with the high costs of replacing retiring Police K-9's.
Orange County K9â„¢ was honored to be part of such a fine Police K-9 organization and OCK9 is committed to creating additional public awareness while growing our sponsorship of the OCPCA for many years to come.
